Micro Power Distribution Module, 4 Channels @ 15 Amps, CAN.
The Mectric Micro PDM4 is a smart 4 channel power distribution module designed to replace mechanical relays and fuses in aftermarket automotive electrical circuits. The device is fully CAN supported allowing for seamless integration with other devices. Each of the 4 outputs can supply up to 15A continuous load current. Higher loads can be driven by grouping outputs together. Each outputs can be triggered by CAN or a switch input and an optional master ignition switch input. The µPDM4 is constructed from AEC-Q100 Automotive Grade components, ensuring it's reliability in harsh environments.
In applications where installers may need to add a small number of power circuits but don't require the size, cost or complexity of a full scale PDM. The Micro PDM4 is perfect for coupling with new engine harness builds or when adding a new set of fans or pumps to a vehicle.

Programming
CAN Based Programming
The µPDM4 is fully capable of real time configuration and firmware updates over CAN Bus. This is done using a range of supported USB to CAN adapters and our MectiCal calibration software
Direct CAN Control
The μPDM4 includes a range of predefined CAN control frames that allow devices such as ECU's or Display Dash's to directly control the outputs without the need for any physical switch inputs.
Direct control frames allow direct override of:
- Output enable
- Output duty & frequency
- Output current limits & retries
- Output enable in 16 bit LSB format compatible with Emtron Tx Datasets
Simplified CAN Programming
To greatly improve the flexibility of the μPDM4, we've included a set of easy to use CAN frames to program specific features. Any device capable of sending a CAN frame such as CAN analysers, ECU's, and Display Dash's can use these frames. Changes made using these frames are stored to permanent memory and as such they only need to be sent once.
